what does 9c mean in shoe size

A quick Google search might answer your question.

If you need more help, email hello@thisisfish.com with your question.

This is a SPAM bot that tries to get people to email someone who doesn't exist. Maybe they want their contact information? I'm not sure though - the emails at hello@thisisfish.com don't seem to be associated with an actual person or organization on the web and return errors when contacted by both Outlook and Gmail clients from my computer (though Gmail worked from my phone). I'm not sure what's happening, but it's definitely spam.

If that's not enough, here are two more references:

According to Google, 9c means "I love dogs" in German. That's what I have a feeling the email was about.

In the United States and Canada, shoe size is determined using the U.S. customary system, which has been in use since 1894. In this system, shoe sizes are determined by alphanumeric codes in numerical order (e.g., 8D) with each letter or number corresponding to a particular width of fitting shoe.

The "D" system is a size designation for footwear related to, but not limited to, dress shoes; it should also not be confused with the "M" numeric designation for military shoes. The "M" numeric designation refers to a completely different sizing method used for government and military purchases in the United States.

Shoe manufacturers following European sizing methods will sometimes denote their shoe size using a number (e.g., 42) rather than a letter code.

Measurements [ edit ]

Sizes are based on either the width of the shoe (measured in inches) or the length of the foot (measured in centimeters). Standard US sizes (shoe sizes) are the same as European sizes.

In the United States, two measurements are used: one for length, from the longest toe to the top of the shoe and one for width, from side to side. In Japan and Russia, three measurements are used: length (from toe to tip of longest toe), width and depth or sole height. The difference between these measurements is sometimes called "drop". A size 8D width is different in Europe than in North America or Japan due to differences between their footwear styles.

The U.S. measurement system has been in use since 1894. The U.S. measurement system has both a length and a width. In the U.S., there are 8 US Sizes from 4E to 15B, and then there are also 7 US widths from AA to EE (EE being known in the U.S. as "Wide" or "Extra Wide"). The width of the foot is generally measured in centimeters while the length is measured in inches, although a few manufacturers offer shoes with either metric or imperial measurements.
